Since opening in 2007, Sylvestrian Leisure Centre has welcomed members into comprehensive facilities and a diverse range of exercise classes led by professional trainers, as a dual-purpose centre driven by both Forest School and the public.
Located in the heart of Forest School, we host school sporting matches, practices and PE sessions by day, and sports clubs, swimming lessons and fitness classes by evening. During London 2012 we hosted Olympic training in Boxing, Fencing, Swimming, Taekwondo and Hockey, and have continued to support events for the school and local community ever since.
Conveniently located near Snaresbrook station and several bus stops, we are easily accessible for residents in and around East London, and are committed to a welcoming, inclusive environment that helps individuals and families lead active, healthy lifestyles.
You will need to be at least 16 years of age to use our Fitness Suite. If playing racket sports, any minor must be accompanied by an adult.
We encourage everyone to have a tour of our facilities before signing up. Please download our free 'Day Pass' to try out our facilities before joining.
We do not tie you into a contract. You only ever pay for one month at a time, and just need to give at least 30 days' notice before the first day of the month you wish to cancel.
You can book onto any class via our website, our phone app, over the phone or in person at Reception. Please book early to secure your place.
Our secure Leisure Centre car park is open to members of the public from 16:00–21:00 Monday to Friday, and 08:00–18:00 at weekends. Use the intercom to state you are using the Centre for access through the security gate.
